On the heels of Wu-Tang Clan releasing a new EP inspired by Of Mics and Men, the four part Showtime docuseries on the hip-hop group, founding Wu-Tang member, Inspectah Deck, has officially announced he will be releasing a solo album later this year.
Marking a global first, Inspectah Deck’s entire album will feature tracks that contain samples from Tracklib, the world’s first and only music service that offers legal and affordable samples at scale. Inspectah Deck is working with a team of top producers, but has left one spot open for an aspiring producer to fill. Producers are invited to make a beat using any samples on Tracklib.com, and the winning beat will be selected by Inspectah Deck himself. The winning producer will receive an all-expense paid trip to NYC to complete the track in studio with Inspectah Deck along with full writing credit and compensation.
The contest ends May 31st so be sure to sign into Tracklib.com, choose a sample, create your beat and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can submit as many beats as you like, but only one beat per email. For the full rules on the competition go here.
